Spicy jalapeno and grapefruit margarita – party on!

I bought the ingredients for this margarita a few weeks ago now, but I haven’t had a chance to make it (or drink it), as yet!

Tonight is the night!

It is a spicy jalapeno and grapefruit margarita! **chef’s kiss.

Ingredients
  • ¾ cup of tequila
  • ½ cup of tripe sec or grand marnier
  • ½ cup of grapefruit or orange juice
  • ⅓ - ½ of a jalapeno pepper
  • ½ cup fresh lime juice
  • sparkling water
  • handful of ice
  • dried botanicals for serving
Instructions
  1. Slice the jalapeno pepper and let steep in the tequila ( a small jug is good for this) for 15 minutes (or more if you want more spice)
  2. Add the grapefruit juice, lime juice and triple sec and stir.
  3. Prepare a fresh glass with a handful of ice.
  4. For a milder marg (my preference) pour half a glass then top with sparkling water.
  5. If you are looking to knock yourself out (please don't!) - fill the glass to ¾ full and add a splash of sparkling water.
  6. Garnish with dehydrated orange slices or other botanicals.
  7. Enjoy!
