18 Nov bone density and elevated prolactin
Last week I had a bone density scan. They took pictures of my lower back, left hip and left arm.
Today I got the results and they are all clear.
It is quite a relief, since there had been concerns in years past that elevated prolactin from a medicine I regularly take would result in reduced bone density. The endocrinologist that I saw said that it shouldn’t be a problem and that the prolactin would come down as my hormones dropped, which it has. So, she was obviously correct, since my bones are fine!
